It's easier now for some people to identify outside of the binary of man or woman.
For some people, it's a matter of sexual kink. For others, it's a matter of identity. For many, it's a little of each. Just because there's a broader understanding, however, it doesn't mean that there isn't still work to be done in terms of acceptance. It can be difficult to find someone to whom you can confide your fledgling non-binary feelings and desires, much less someone who will encourage them!
